Source Collection Triage Guide: Articles on WL/Lexis

no title

In Westlaw.com, go to the TP-ALL database (this includes all law reviews plus bar journals, legal newspapers and magazines, etc.):
  • Search by the article's title and author's last name - ti("________") & au(_______)
  • If you think there may be a mistake about the exact title, try searching just key words from the title (omit quotation marks) - ti(___ and ___ and ___) & au(_______).

In WestlawNext, filter for Secondary Sources and try the same search strings suggested above.

In Lexis, click on "Secondary Legal - View more" and then check the box for "Law Reviews, CLE, Legal Journals & Periodicals, Combined":

  • Search by the article's title and author - title("________") & author(_______)
  • If you think there may be a mistake about the exact title, try searching just key words from the title - title(___ and ___ and ___) & author(_______)

Lexis Advance is currently not recommended for quickly finding legal articles by citation.
