Many of you might be expecting a whole list of databases and resources to use for your clerkship. This is nearly impossible to do because you will be researching many different areas of law. Should you have taken Advanced Legal Research? Probably.
As a student, you should always be able to call the Lexis, Westlaw, and Bloomberg support people if you are having trouble pulling up good results for a specific question. Check to see if you have access to a reference librarian at your court. These people deal with new law clerks every year and they will be able to help you.
We won't be reinventing the wheel but we can save you a web search. Here are two resources that contain long lists of articles and other materials to help you prepare for your upcoming clerkship:
Judicial Clerkships: A Bibliography, from the Association of Legal Writing Directors (ALWD)
Suggested Judicial Clerkship Reading List, from the National Association for Law Placement (NALP)
