The law school's academic Lexis+ account includes access to CourtLink (Dockets) for both docket sheets and some underlying documents. Lexis+ also has selected briefs and trial court materials. Berkeley Law affiliates have sponsored accounts (see the Student Computing Guide for registration information). We cannot provide login credentials for persons with no current Berkeley Law affiliation.
Dockets for federal courts and many state courts are available in CourtLink, but Berkeley Law’s subscription does not include updating so the information is a snapshot as of the last time data was retrieved by CourtLink. For more current information you may need to check another docket service offering updating (for tips see Bloomberg Law Dockets & Filings, under "Track & update dockets"; PACER Federal Court Dockets; or Westlaw Dockets & Documents).
From any page within Lexis+, find the Product Menu (a 9-dot icon at the top left) and select "CourtLink (Dockets)."
Select and/or add search criteria/terms for jurisdiction (the "Within" search box), "Docket Number" (a "tips" icon offers formatting information for federal district court numbers only, so you may need to try multiple ways of formatting other courts' docket numbers), and other available search fields; you can filter and search within the results list after executing a search.
Some underlying documents may be available in some CourtLink dockets. In the "Proceedings" table, under the "Availability" column, look for a "Free" link corresponding to the documents described in docket entries (see example Docket Sheet screenshot below).
