The Court and the Commission

The primary bodies are the Inter-American Commission and the Inter-American Court.

Documents from the Court

  • Inter-American Court of Human Rights, Annual Report (Washington, DC: General Secretariat, Organization of American States, 1981-). Annual reports from 1998 onwards are available on the Court's website.
  • Inter-American Court of Human Rights, Series A: Judgments and Opinions, Series B: Pleadings, Oral Arguments and Documents, and Series C: Decisions and Judgments. The jurisprudence of the Court is available on the Court's web site.

Publications about the Court

  • Inter-American Yearbook on Human Rights (Washington, DC: General Secretariat of the Organization of American States, 1968-). Provides background information, key instruments, documents, and a discussion of human rights practices in selected OAS countries.

A good bit of documentation is available on the web.
