The Purpose, Resilience, & Mindfulness section of the Wellness Guide offers a wide array of suggested resources for finding a sense of balance, fulfillment, meaning, and self-awareness. This section also provides practical tools for using self-awareness to help improve resilience and grit, empowering students to tackle obstacles and achieve success.
Subjects covered by the guide include imposter syndrome, introversion, perfectionism, time management, finding joy and satisfaction in you work, meditation, self-reflection, and more.
The Mindfulness Workshop
Since Fall 2012, Berkeley Law has offered non-credit mindfulness workshops. The workshop series is designed to equip students with skills to be more effective in their studies, and to be balanced and happy during the challenges of law school and beyond. The current four-week, non-credit series on the practice of mindfulness and its application to law study and practice. The series is designed to address the many causes of stress (personal, societal, global), identify ways for address and managing stress, developing a grounded and centered presence, and cultivating focus, equanimity, wisdom, compassion and resilience. It is taught by Tirien Steinbach, Director of the East Bay Community Law Center.
Mindfulness Mondays
Join a drop-in Mindfulness Monday meditation sessions, held every Monday at 1PM throughout the semester. The location is announced each week on the Berkeley Law calendar and via the events email.
