Student Journals: File Preparation

File Preparation

Articles being submitted to the printer OR uploaded to the Law School's Repository must be saved as separate pdf files.

Once you have finished editing and applying the formatting macro to your Word documents, you are ready to create the pdf files.  PDFs must be created on the PC platform only and preferably from your journal office computer, which has all of the necessary fonts and settings. You may request access to log in to your office computer remotely by sending an email with your name, journal, and Calnet ID to Maro Vidal-Manou.

Final Review of your Files

•Article files must be saved as individual pdf files in order to submit to the printer and/or to upload to your journals’ repository site.

•PDFs submitted to JCI must be prepared on PC platform only using Adobe Acrobat Distiller 10.0

All files must have identical page setup specifications- best achieved by preparing all article .pdfs on a single computer
